Seminar 'Management of massive point cloud data: wet and dry' >>
On Thursday 26 November 2009 the Subcommissions Marine Geodesy and Core
Spatial Data of the Netherlands Geodetic Commission and the Oracle
Gebruikersclub Holland jointly organise the Seminar 'Management of massive
point cloud data: wet and dry. The theme of the seminar will be about the
challenges caused by the ever increasing amount of data that is generated by
modern sensor systems, both in the wet and dry sectors.

Overview Research and Education in Marine Geodesy >>
Dr.Ir. C.D. de Jong (Fugro-Intersite B.V.) and member of the
Subcommission Marine Geodesy of the NCG has made an update of the overview
of universities and institutes on marine geodesy. Of more than 40
organisations a short description of their activities on marine geodesy is
given and there is a link to the website of each organisation.

Infrastructure Convergence: Building SDI Bridges to Address Global

Prof.Dr.Ir. Martien Molenaar new chairman of the NCG >>
On May 20, 2009 the Netherlands Geodetic Commission (NCG) has unanimously
chosen Prof.Dr.Ir. Martien Molenaar (ITC) as her new chairman and Prof. Jaap
Besemer (TU Delft) as vice-chairman.
Prof. Molenaar succeeds Prof.Dr.Ir. Peter Teunissen (TU Delft), who is
leading a research group at the University of Perth (Australia) for the next
five years. Prof. Teunissen is employed as part-time professor at TU Delft
during this period and keeps on as member of the Commission.

Prof.Dr.Ir. A. van den Brink (WU) member of the NCG >>
Prof.Dr.Ir. A. van den Brink (Wageningen University) has appointed as
member of the Netherlands Geodetic Commission on 12 December 2008. Prof. Van
den Brink is part-time professor in Land Use Planning at Wageningen
University. He is also working as a senior strategist on policy development
and innovation at the Government Service for Land and Water Use (Dienst
Landelijk Gebied) in Utrecht.
